I finally finished this painting today. I started it a year ago and
just forgot about it. Never had enough time or patience to work on it.
Painting is like meditation. It keeps me calm. The quiet time
gives me the much needed break from my thoughts and
feelings. Makes me forget about the people who hurt me, those
who continue to talk, those who paint a dark picture of me,
those who took advantage of my trust, those who do not deserve
my friendship, those who used friendship for personal gain.

are all a work in progress.
At the end of Super Soul Sunday
several weeks ago, they featured the Art of Bonsai. They showed an elderly man
trimming the bonsai trees. Some of the trees are hundreds of years old. Have
lived longer than the old man. The trees were on exhibit at a museum in
Chicago.
The bonsai trees were compared to each one of us.
It took years, hundreds of years, for these trees to become beautiful, and they
are still being trimmed, groomed, taken cared of 'til today. They are still a
work in progress. Just like you and me, we are work in progress.
This too is a work in progress ... I hope to finish
this painting one day .... hopefully, soon!
