Everything in life is temporary ...

********
Everything is temporary. Even emotions are temporary.
One cannot remain sad for a long time.  One can't cry forever.
Somehow the tears have to stop.
That is the same with all other emotions.
One cannot be angry all the time.
All these emotions are tiring.
........
I just wish to be surrounded with truthful people.
Those who truly love me back and have no personal agenda,
hidden motives, or bad intentions.
Those who are not user friendly.

I finally finished this painting today. I started it a year ago and
just forgot about it.  Never had enough time or patience to work on it.
Painting is like meditation. It keeps me calm. The quiet time
gives me the much needed break from my thoughts and
feelings.  Makes me forget about the people who hurt me, those
who continue to talk, those who paint a dark picture of me,
those who took advantage of my trust, those who do not deserve
my friendship, those who used friendship for personal gain.
********
This was how it looked  in March 2013.
It was "a work in progress" and this was what I wrote ...
What I learned today...
..... "God is real. Faith works." Devon Franklin
... and that, We are all a work in progress.

At the end of Super Soul Sunday several weeks ago, they featured the Art of Bonsai. They showed an elderly man trimming the bonsai trees. Some of the trees are hundreds of years old. Have lived longer than the old man. The trees were on exhibit at a museum in Chicago.

The bonsai trees were compared to each one of us. It took years, hundreds of years, for these trees to become beautiful, and they are still being trimmed, groomed, taken cared of 'til today. They are still a work in progress. Just like you and me, we are work in progress.

This too is a work in progress ... I hope to finish this painting one day .... hopefully, soon!
Have a blessed Holy Week everyone!
... and a Happy Easter !!!

... silence the mind

I know what to do to heal.
I bake. I cook. I paint. I read. I write. I blog
. and ....I pray!
It's quite a challenge to silence my mind.
It's almost three in the morning and here I am again,
typing away on my computer.
What happened?
Didn't I just say that I have been emotionally constipated, for days?
********
People continue to talk and they like to talk about me.
I am not popular, but they like to paint this dark picture of me.
They just don't have anything better to do.
They would do everything to keep that perfect image.

Good night,  betsisanders!
