The Stream (Acrylic Painting by betsisanders)

Some friendships end, but some friendships start over. All it takes is humility to accept one's fault, and say, "I'm sorry, Please forgive me. How can I make things right again?"

I gave this painting to an old friend. Someone who was once very close to me. Thirty years ago, we had some kind of 'falling-out'. A moment of anger destroyed years of friendship.

The stream represents calm and happiness, which I hope to achieve in my life. What is at the end of the stream? ... a loving, generous, caring, loyal, truthful, sensitive, but, happy person, a friend, that's me, betsisanders. I gave "The Stream" to my friend, as a peace offering.

How I wish everyone is like my friend, who asked no questions, who didn't demand for explanations, who accepted, who has forgiven and who loves me unconditionally. Thirty years is a long time, an entire lifetime. I cannot wait for another thirty years to make things right again for others. I have forgiven and have been forgiven.

"Forgiveness is giving up the right to hurt you because you hurt me. True forgiveness means trusting God to handle the situation."
