Dampa, Wok with Joe / Nov 13, 2012

DFs Jannette  and Malu with me on a food trip.
Steamed Crab Claws / 1kilo
Crispy Catfish / maybe more than a kilo
Squid in Black Ink / 1 kilo
Condiments
It isn't Christmas yet. It's actually 42 days before the big day. But, the three of us have probably gained about ten pounds each after this lunch.  We practically wiped out everything we ordered.  As usual, when we got to the restaurant, the food's been cooked and waiting for us at the VIP room.  Thanks to Dr. May Sia, a dental collegue from the UP College of Dentistry, owner / proprietor of Wok with Joe.  All it takes is a phone call or text, and she will instruct her crew to do the marketing and cooking of our favorite dishes.  Thanks Dr. May!  Really really love your restaurant!!!

 We shall be back sooooonest!!!!

travel buddies' food tripping at dampa seaside's wok with joe

don't you just love these ladies? they would drop everything and go food tripping , even if the restaurant is more than an hour away, at the farthest station of the LRT, and near the bay

wok with joe is owned by dr may sia, a dentist friend from UP college of dentistry. they serve the freshest seafoods. you can just text her your order an hour before you arrive at the restaurant and when you get there, the food will be waiting at the table. but this time, we arrived 15 minutes early and had to wait for a few minutes. ..the food was worth the wait.

we had a kilo of oysters on the half shell, (angela and i did not eat the oysters) Lato salad, a kilo of prawns tempura, sinigang na mayamaya sa miso and 2 kilos of crab claws. . . super delicious!

it took us three hours to get back to marikina. we got stuck in traffic at edsa this afternoon because a bus almost fell from the flyover at ortigas! ... angela said, "buti na lang busog tayo kung hindi nag-away away na tayo dito sa car!"

but the highlight of this trip was betsy's non stop screaming because there was a baby centipede crawling at the back of the car. the girls started screaming too. they didn't know what was happening because i just kept at it for a long time. yun pala, hindi naman takot si bubut sa centipede. so, she grabbed the thing with tissue paper and threw it out the window. it took a long time for me to calm down. angela thought that a mouse crawled over her chest... hello! kamay ko yun ano!!!! i was grabbing the front seat where angela was seated. .. di ko na sasabihin what happened to bubut.... hahahaha.... buti na lang, ang galing galing ng driver namin, si jannette!!!! she kept her composure and did not jump out of the car and leave the screaming travel buddies!

thanks ladies =] til our next food trip!!!!! love ya!!!
