Post - Halloween Gathering

The annual Trick or Treat in our subdivision was cancelled.
So, we just had a post Halloween gathering of San Andres' relatives and friends.
********
For starters / merienda, we had pizza, pasta and pumpkin soup.
We had grilled pork and fish for dinner.
The Hubby grilling some barbequed pork liempo.
SIL (sister in law), Ate Nene,  prepared kalderetang itik and lumpiang ubod.
Some good friends who live close by, dropped in for some fun and chit chat.
with DF dear friend Jannette & DA dear attorney (Ninang of Son) Swanee
Last year, we had an "Angry Birds' Themed Halloween Party".
This year, I thought of The Pigs, having their revenge.
I got this piggy mask in Hanoi, from this novelty store, which was a  block away from our hotel,
that sells hats, masks, funny looking eyeglasses, and even 'kinky for adults only' toys.
[Ate Nene couldn't find any pig costumes, pig masks, pig hats or pig balloons.]
First to try on the mask was DF Jannette.

The Hubby followed and then the rest of the kids and 'kids at heart' took turns.

Photo Op, up next

The kids posed with Khryzt, our special nephew, who just a had a seisure shortly before
this photo opportunity .  He still managed to pose for the camera even if he was very very tired.
Thanks Khryzt :-)

********
The kids who aren't really kids anymore have become heavy coffee drinkers.
Hubby brought out his coffee maker and served
French Roast Vanilla coffee and decaffeinated Starbucks coffee.

We had fruits (apples and grapes) and Ate Nene's delicious guinatan with bilobilo for dessert.
I was too lazy or too tired to bake , so I asked my niece, Camille, to do the baking.

She made Ghirardelli brownies.  The pineapple upside down cake was from Rosalie.
The cake is always the highlight of any party, well, at least for my parties.
Thanks to Camille who baked this red velvet cake, her first attempt in frosting.
.. and to Karsten, who had to rush to the grocery and buy mochi to decorate this 'monster' cake.
Perfect ... monster teeth mochi!
Why not?  We are a family of dentists, a 'dental dynasty'...
Hubby, Hubby's Dad, Hubby's sister and I are dentists.
Camille is a sophomore at the UE College of Dentistry.
So, Karsten, are you going to become a dentst too?

Thank you so much to everyone who made this party FUN!!!
********
Other photos are Camille's. Thanks :-)
Til our next gathering.
