hark daughters, get together!/april 2012

hosted a party for an old friend, bern. we were neighbors in quezon city and she helped solve difficult math problems, when we were freshmen in up diliman. bern is a math wiz kaya economics ang course niya. ako, dentistry. ( dentistry only had one math subject, college algebra.) / bern is now based in melbourne, australia. i always make sure to see her whenever she is in manila. but i missed one very 'enchanting' and 'memorable' reunion with bern at sukho thai in sm mega mall, years back.

the party was supposed to be on friday, the 13th of april , but bern was leaving for palawan. party was moved to tuesday, the 10th. we didn't invite a lot of girls this time. just the usual, the few, who exert effort to attend these get togethers.

being the host or the event coordinator (most of the time) i usually send texts or call people to remind them of the party. i really appreciate those ladies who return text messages, even make voice calls, and send emails whenever they cannot make it to the party. (you know who you are ladies).... but there are those who simply ignore, and when reminded, would give flimsy reasons why they can't make it. ... some even forget.

so, when my alter ego asked if the invitation was for everyone, i answered her with this... 'one earns the privilege of an invitation.'

so, to all the 'travel buddies' who are always around, (jannette, cynthia, bubut, angela, yayo -who followed even if she had a flight to catch; malu who had some errands/ motherly chores..... and ' the girls i used to hang out with 'swanee, dags, mel and debra ( avic is in the US)... thanks so much , daughters of st paul, for honoring our guest from down under.
