he treated us to dinner at his filipino restaurant, manong's,which is located just right at the entrance of the alabang exit; with a tranquil view of the vast greenery of the golf course; peaceful and relaxed
ambience; perfect for quiet family dinners, intimate dinner dates or dinner meetings.
Dinner started with NILADIT, an Ilocano specialty, which is creamy shrimp chicken and sotanghon soup. it tasted like the sotanghon pancit that my Nanay used to make, but this is a soup, very creamy, rich and super tasty.
Grilled Pata and Tuna Karekare were served next. these two dishes complement each other. inihaw always goes with karekare. i particularly loved the bagoong, but had to restrain myself from
consuming all the bagoong. That pata is a killer!!!!! if you eat too much, it can kill you !!!
Pritchon was the 'dessert' (just kidding!) .. actually, since we were drinking margaritas and beer, pritchon was the 'pullutan'.
i would have eaten more but since i am flying tomorrow, i didn't want to eat too much today... i shall be back soon, with travel buddies, balikbayan friends and family... or with my tw0 boys.
thanks dr. R for the dinner. .. and it is always good to be with the "chunks" of class 83... as i fondly call these four boys.
