Two days with the truest of friends =] Aug 22 & 23, 2011

It is always a great feeling to be with good old friends.

Had dinner with dentistry friends in honor of balikbayan, Dr. Susan Academia De Guzman. Susan is the first person / friend I met when I entered UP Diliman. We were both in line and enlisting for Dentistry block section L. Swanee, as we fondly call her, has been my friend since 1977.

The dinner at International Master Chef Kavino (Jupiter Place, Makati) was also a celebration of my 25th wedding anniversary, spent with those people who were witness to our marriage. These ladies and gents were there from the very start. After the dinner, we watched our friend, Dr. Ranny Reyes and his band (8 track) play at Strumm's. Retro Dance and Jazz Music from the 70's... again... fun memories =]

The next day, Boyet and I brought Susan to Shakey's Pizza Parlor, every balikbayan's request. Since we were at West Avenue, I thought of passing by Dr. Ufer Valderrama's place, which was just 2 blocks away. ... and yehey, Ufer was home.

It is really good to see my old friends, brings back time, brings back memories. ... it is true that real friends can go through long periods of time without seeing or talking to each other, but when true friends meet again, it feels just like yesterday,
